20 - The Gateway to Freedom at Detroit's Hart Plaza and the Tower
of Freedom at Windsor's Civic Esplendide are dedicated. The monuments
to the Detroit / Windsor Underground Railroad are considered a single
work and thus are the first artwork that spans an international border.

mayor of Detroit. At 31 years old, he is the youngest ever elected.
